Collection: Gachapon

What is “Gachagacha”?

“Gachagacha” (also called “Gashapon”) are Japanese capsule toy vending machines. You insert a coin, turn the handle, and a small plastic capsule pops out with a surprise toy inside!

Each capsule contains a collectible item—such as keychains, mini figures, or charms—based on popular anime, games, or cute original characters. Because you don’t know exactly which one you’ll get, it’s a fun surprise every time!

The name “Gachagacha” comes from the sounds the machine makes:

  • “Gacha” – the sound of turning the handle

  • “Pon” – the sound of the capsule dropping

In Japan, you can find these machines everywhere: in shopping malls, train stations, and even at airports. Many people enjoy collecting their favorite series or trading with friends.
