Ichiban Kuji Yu Yu Hakusho: The Sensui Arc MASTERLISE Figures

Ichiban Kuji Yu Yu Hakusho: The Sensui Arc MASTERLISE Figures

Bandai Spirits is taking Ichiban Kuji into Yu Yu Hakusho's Chapter Black for the first time. Ichiban Kuji Yu Yu Hakusho: Chapter of the Demon World Gate launches in Japan in late September 2026 at 850 yen (tax included) per draw, and the first wave of prizes is built around the Sensui arc: a Mazoku-awakened Yusuke Urameshi, Kuwabara, Yoko Kurama, the villain Shinobu Sensui, and his partner Itsuki. This is a collector guide to what has been revealed, why this arc matters, and how fans outside Japan can secure a figure.

Ichiban Kuji is a Japanese in-store prize lottery in which every ticket wins a physical prize — there are no blanks. The premium character figures here use Bandai's MASTERLISE line, the tier reserved for the most detailed sculpts, with pieces standing up to roughly 27 cm tall.

The revealed prizes

The set runs from Prize A through Prize J, plus a Last One Prize and a Double Chance mail-in figure. As of the first reveal, the top figures confirmed are the ones below; Prizes F through J have not been shown yet.

Prize Figure
A Yusuke Urameshi — Mazoku (Demon) Awakened Form, MASTERLISE
B Kazuma Kuwabara, MASTERLISE
C Yoko Kurama — Tree Spirit Demon Slicing Fist ver., MASTERLISE
D Shinobu Sensui, MASTERLISE
E Itsuki, MASTERLISE
Last One Yusuke Urameshi — Mazoku Awakened Form (Awakened ver.)

The headline is the Mazoku Yusuke, who appears twice: as the Prize A sculpt and as an alternate Last One version. In the story this is Yusuke at his most powerful, so having both the A Prize and the Last One tied to the same character raises the stakes for anyone chasing the set.

Why the Sensui (Chapter Black) arc is the pick

Chapter Black — titled Makai no Tobira Hen, "Chapter of the Demon World Gate," in Japanese — is the fourth and final major arc of Yoshihiro Togashi's Yu Yu Hakusho. It follows Shinobu Sensui, a former Spirit Detective who turns against humanity and tries to tear open a gate to the Demon World. Itsuki is the demon who fights at his side and controls the dimensional space they use.

The arc is also where Yusuke dies and is reborn as a Mazoku, a descendant of the demon Raizen, unlocking his true demon heritage. That transformation is exactly what the A Prize and Last One figures depict, which is why this lineup lands with longtime fans rather than reaching for the more familiar Dark Tournament roster that earlier Ichiban Kuji sets covered.

What is still coming

Because Prizes F through J and the full details of the Double Chance figure have not been revealed, expect a second announcement before the September launch that fills in the mid-tier prizes. That is the normal Ichiban Kuji rhythm: a top-figure reveal first, then the rest of the lineup closer to release. Collectors deciding whether to chase the set or wait for the aftermarket usually hold until that second reveal shows the complete prize list.

How overseas fans can get one

Ichiban Kuji is sold as a physical, in-person lottery inside Japan, so fans abroad generally cannot pull tickets themselves. The two realistic routes are buying a specific prize figure after release on the secondary market, or ordering from a Japan-based store that ships worldwide. Prices on individual MASTERLISE prizes tend to be highest right at launch and settle over the following weeks, so the A Prize and Last One — the two Mazoku Yusuke sculpts — are the pieces most worth watching for early markups.

If you collect Ichiban Kuji more broadly, the arc-by-arc MASTERLISE format is the same one Bandai uses across shonen franchises, so the buying playbook carries over from set to set.
