Ichiban Kuji Naruto Shippuden 'Hidan & Kakuzu Arc': Shikamaru, Asuma, and the Rasenshuriken Land This October
Bandai Spirits has revealed a new Ichiban Kuji lottery, Naruto Shippuden: Hidan & Kakuzu Arc, set to launch on October 26, 2026 at 790 yen per draw. For long-time fans, this is one of the most emotionally loaded arcs in the whole series to get the prize-figure treatment — and the first wave of reveals leans hard into that weight.
The lineup spans prizes A through I, plus a Last One Prize and a Double Chance Prize. Bandai has so far shown off the top figures, all from its premium MASTERLISE line, while prizes E through I are still under wraps. Here's why collectors of the series should be paying attention.
Why the Hidan & Kakuzu Arc Hits Hard
Fans often call this stretch of Naruto Shippuden the "Immortal Duo" arc, after the two Akatsuki members at its center. Hidan is effectively unkillable and fights through a gruesome ritual that links his body to his victims; Kakuzu keeps himself alive with multiple hearts torn from fallen opponents. Together they form one of the darkest, most unsettling threats Team 10 ever faces.
It's also a turning point for two of the roster's fan favorites. Asuma Sarutobi, the Team 10 leader and a Sarutobi by blood, falls in this arc — and his student Shikamaru Nara carries the loss forward, engineering a methodical, revenge-driven trap that becomes one of the most celebrated strategist moments in the entire manga. It's the same arc where Naruto finally completes the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken, the technique he unleashes against Kakuzu. Bandai clearly built this Ichiban Kuji around those beats.

The Revealed Prizes
Based on the first announcement, the shown figures are:
- Prize A – Nara Shikamaru (MASTERLISE), cigarette in hand.
- Prize B – Sarutobi Asuma (MASTERLISE), cigarette in his mouth — the pair is posed to echo the master-and-student bond and the "will" Asuma passes on.
- Prize C – Hidan (MASTERLISE), the immortal Akatsuki ritualist.
- Prize D – Kakuzu (MASTERLISE), his multi-hearted partner.
- Last One Prize – Uzumaki Naruto, Wind Release: Rasenshuriken (MASTERLISE), the arc's signature finishing move.
Retailers listing the Shikamaru figure for preorder put it at roughly 24.9 cm tall, giving a sense of the scale on these top-tier prizes. Prizes E through I — typically a mix of smaller figures, plush, tapestries, towels, and rubber straps in a kuji of this size — have not yet been detailed.

What Collectors Should Keep in Mind
Ichiban Kuji is a physical, in-store lottery in Japan: every ticket wins something, the desirable MASTERLISE figures sit in the top tiers, and the Last One Prize goes to whoever draws the final ticket. Because arcs this beloved tend to move fast, the A–D figures and the Rasenshuriken Last One are the pieces most likely to command attention on the secondary market once the run sells through. If you're building a Naruto shelf, this is a set worth tracking rather than assuming it'll linger.
Where to Shop Naruto-Style Collectibles
Akibato ships Japanese Ichiban Kuji prizes and anime figures worldwide, so you can chase kuji figures like these without needing to be in Japan on launch day. Browse the full Ichiban Kuji collection at Akibato to see what's currently in stock. And since Naruto fans tend to also collect other Shonen battle heavyweights, it's worth peeking at the Jujutsu Kaisen figures too. One handy note for international buyers: shipping is charged by your order's total parcel weight rather than per item, so adding a couple of smaller prizes or straps to a figure order often travels together for the same cost as sending one thing.
