Dragon Ball 'Fantastic Adventure 3' Ichiban Kuji: Goku and Bulma's First Meeting Becomes a Figure

Bandai Spirits has revealed a new lottery, Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball Fantastic Adventure 3, and it skips the Saiyans, the tournaments, and the god-tier power-ups entirely. Instead it heads all the way back to where Akira Toriyama's story began, recreating quiet, funny moments from the original Dragon Ball manga. It is a rare nostalgia play for a franchise whose merchandise usually lives in Super Saiyan territory, and for collectors it is a chance to display the version of Goku who is still a wide-eyed kid on a flying cloud.

What the lineup celebrates

The headline pieces both come from the earliest chapters. The A Prize is a group figure of the Ox-King's car soaring through the sky, with a bunny-suit Bulma at the wheel, Goku happily catching the wind, and Oolong dozing beside them — a snapshot of the road-trip chaos that opened the series. The Last One Prize, awarded to the person who draws the final ticket at a store, recreates the very scene fans point to as the start of everything: Goku and Bulma's first meeting. Japanese outlet Inside notes the lottery is priced at 800 yen per draw and is scheduled to roll out at FamilyMart and other retailers from November 28, 2026. As always with Ichiban Kuji, every ticket wins a prize, so there are no blanks.

Why an original-era set is a big deal

Modern Dragon Ball goods lean heavily on Z and Super — muscle, aura effects, and transformations. A set built around the comedic adventure roots is less common, which is part of what makes this one stand out on a shelf. It also speaks to the franchise's staying power: according to Magmix, this is the eighth Dragon Ball Ichiban Kuji to appear in 2026 alone, more than three decades after the manga wrapped. Few properties can sustain that volume of fresh figures, and fewer still can profitably reach back to their first arc and know collectors will care.

A collector's take

Prize figures like these hit a sweet spot for display: they capture a specific, recognizable moment rather than a generic hero pose, so they tell a story on the shelf. The Ox-King's car diorama in particular is the kind of multi-character piece that anchors a collection, while the meeting-scene Last One Prize carries obvious sentimental weight for anyone who grew up with the series. Because Ichiban Kuji figures are lottery prizes rather than standard retail releases, availability outside Japan tends to be uneven once a wave sells through, so early-era sets like this are worth tracking if the classic look appeals to you.

Where to start your Dragon Ball shelf

If this nostalgic wave has you wanting more classic Goku on display, browse the Dragon Ball collection at Akibato, which ships figures, gashapon, and prize items worldwide. You can also dig through the store's wider Ichiban Kuji collection for prize figures across other franchises. One handy tip for international collectors: shipping is charged by total parcel weight rather than per item, so a few smaller prizes or capsule toys can often travel together for the same cost as a single figure — worth keeping in mind when you build an order.
